AutoAIClips is a small, independent product. No VC ladder, no growth-at-all-costs playbook. We charge fairly, take customer support personally, and ship features when we believe they earn their weight in the codebase.
Why we built this
Every podcaster, founder, and educator we know has a back catalog of long-form content that nobody clips. The format works — a great 45-second moment from a two-hour interview can outperform the full episode on TikTok by 100×. But the act of finding that 45 seconds inside two hours of audio is the bottleneck. Manually it’s a 2–3 hour job per episode. Outsourced to a freelance editor it’s $150–$300 per episode.
The cost structure doesn’t survive contact with a daily posting cadence. That’s why this category exists, and that’s why we built AutoAIClips. One episode in, ten ranked vertical clips out, for roughly a dollar per episode.
Engineering principles
Ranking quality beats template variety
Most clipping tools compete on how many caption styles they ship. We compete on whether the ten clips we hand you are actually the ten clips worth posting. A great caption animation on a forgettable moment still earns zero plays.
Bring your own model
If you already pay for Claude or GPT-4o, the marginal cost of scoring one more video is zero. So we let you point clip ranking at your own OpenAI or Anthropic key. No per-clip markup, no vendor lock-in, and the model quality improves whenever the frontier labs release a new SOTA.
Self-hostable by default
Agencies handling client content under NDA shouldn't ship the source video to a third-party SaaS. The full pipeline — yt-dlp, transcription, scoring, reframe, captions, render — runs from a single Docker image. Your infrastructure, your data.
Multi-aspect in one job
Modern creators post the same clip to TikTok (9:16), Instagram feed (1:1), YouTube long-form preview (16:9), and LinkedIn (1:1). Three renders for the same clip is wasted compute. We render all aspects from one source pass.

Two cadences, one feature set. Pro Weekly ($9.99) is the low-commitment entry for creators trying us out for a single launch or campaign. Pro Monthly ($29) is the value option for daily creators — about a dollar per episode if you ship every day. No free tier with watermark, no upsell tiers, no enterprise contact-us pricing. What you see is what you pay.
Cancel from the billing portal in one click. No retention call, no email gauntlet, no “are you sure?” modal. If we’re not worth $29/month we don’t want to make you click through a wall to leave.
